Digital HDTV: Join the Resolution*
1920x1080P at 60 frames/s

The ultimate goal of the HDTV standard has been to produce a picture and sound experience comparable to 35mm pictures.
Let companies know that you want audio and visual quality at a level near the limits of your senses. Start saving your money now. Don't buy any more low-resolution products. Companies will notice and produce real HDTV products before you are too old to enjoy them.

The ATSC Digital Television Standard has been expanded with low-resolution options. This is a move down from the original intent. The original goal of the ATSC was to define a High Definition TV standard. Now, it can merely be called a Digital TV standard.

HDTV Advocate's goal is to promote the use of the most important aspect of the ATSC Digital Television Standard. That is the 1080 P x 1920 at 60 frames/s format (with digital surround sound, of course).

* I think the ATSC used to have a web page devoted to this slogan. Now there is a page based in France.
