Demand the BestDigital HDTV: Join the Resolution* The ultimate goal of the HDTV standard has been to produce a picture
and sound experience comparable to 35mm pictures. The ATSC Digital Television Standard has been expanded with low-resolution options. This is a move down from the original intent. The original goal of the ATSC was to define a High Definition TV standard. Now, it can merely be called a Digital TV standard. HDTV Advocate's goal is to promote the use of the most important aspect of the ATSC Digital Television Standard. That is the 1080 P x 1920 at 60 frames/s format (with digital surround sound, of course). |

* I think the ATSC used to have a web page devoted to this slogan. Now there is a page based in France. Your comments about this Web Site are greatly appreciated.
